What do I bring to the Table?
I’m a manager and I’m constantly trying to figure out what exactly it is I do. In a lot of ways I’m a shock absorber, I keep the bumps and jolts from above to a minimum, I make minor adjustment below to keep everyone moving smoothly. But how do you quantify that?
I do stuff, and things.
I nudge, I compliment, I suggest, I lead, I assure, I re-assure. I help people see other peoples point of view.
I bullshit with people all day.
So what do I bring to the table?
